PARK 12

Karrawirra / Park 12
is regarded as one of the best sportsgrounds in South Australia, and is home to the Adelaide University Cricket Club and Adelaide University Football Club. The historic Park 12 Grandstand with its prestigious Long Room is located right in front of the playing oval.

Park 12 has been central to some of Adelaide University's biggest and most successful sporting clubs for more than 100 years, and a range of exceptional, historical moments. In 1954, over 25,000 ex-servicemen and women were present during the visit from the newly-crowned Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. In 2015, a memorial plaque and white picket fence were unveiled, honouring members of the Adelaide University Cricket Club and Adelaide University Football Club who served in the First World War between 1914 and 1918. Redevelopments completed in 2023 mean Park 12 now features new accessible all-gender facilities, dedicated change rooms and bathrooms for umpires, and updated and modernised home and away team change rooms. Field lights allow training and play at night.

Adelaide University Sport and Fitness manage these fields, which is leased by Adelaide University from the Adelaide City council. Fields are available for use by groups within the University or by community clubs/organisations.
