More than 120 students to represent Adelaide University at UniSport Nationals

More than 120 Adelaide University students will head over to Perth, Western Australia between Saturday 26 September and Friday 2 October to compete in Australia's largest intervarsity sporting carnival, the UniSport Nationals.
Sports being played by Adelaide University include Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Fencing, Futsal, Judo, Kendo, Netball, Rugby, Table Tennis, Touch Football and Volleyball.
Each year, about 5,000 student athletes from across Australia head to UniSport Nationals to compete in 30 different sports, with individual, team and overall medals on offer. For many, Nationals is the culmination of their season; for others, it's just the beginning.
We're proud to acknowledge this year's Adelaide University team captains, men's captain Isaac Hampel (Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Basketball) and women's captain Chloe McPherson (Bachelor of Science, Netball), two outstanding students who have demonstrated leadership and excellence throughout their sporting journey.
Isaac and Chloe addressed their team ahead of Nationals at a pre-departure ceremony on Wednesday 16 September in Union House, which also included a Gender-Based Violence workshop from Adelaide University's Respect at AU Network team, food, uniform presentation, and team photos.
During the event, the Adelaide University squad will network with fellow students, discover vibrant Perth, and engage in a wide variety of social activities including a Welcome Ceremony, Mascot Race (go Gus!), Unity Day, and UniFest, a free mid-week music and entertainment festival.
