The AU Athletics Club is a social running club catering for all levels. Alongside our casual park and beach runs, members take part in various charity and fun runs throughout the year, usually followed by social festivities.

Description

What we do ...
The AU Athletics Club is a social running/walking club. We are currently non-competitive and meet three times a week for social runs/walks. The club takes part in a various charity and fun runs throughout the year such as the City to Bay, Adelaide Marathon and Relay for Life. We also arrange special running/walking sessions usually followed by a group meal, these include twilight runs along Glenelg (usually off the sand) and scenic runs through Morialta Park.


When and where ...
The Club meets three times a week at the Graduates Clubhouse in North Adelaide on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for training, usually in the surrounding areas or along the Torrens. How much does it cost?
$20 Adelaide University Students and Staff
$88 All other members


What do I get out of it?
All AUAC members gain access to the fantastic community and friendly environment that accompanies the training and social events. They also have access to moral support from the club and AU Sport, academic support through the Elite Athletes Office and financial support through AU Sports Scholarships and AUAC Elite Athlete financial support programs. We also negotiate as a club discounted entries to large events throughout the year.

All AUAC members receive 10% off all plans at The Fitness Hub (on-campus gym)

We are also currently negotiating more sponsorships with other partnering originations
