More than 4,000 recipients have been awarded a University of Adelaide Blue, Half Blue or Club Letters. Today’s Blues Award recipients are presented with a certificate and an engraved pin to recognise their achievement. 
 
Blue:  
Is awarded to University of Adelaide students who are members of an Adelaide University Sport club and have participated with distinction at a state or national level.

Half Blue:  

Is awarded to University of Adelaide students who are members of an Adelaide University Sport club for achievement at a high level. A Half Blue is also presented to life members of Adelaide University Sport.

Club Letters:  

Service 
Are awarded for significant service to a university sporting club.  

Competition 
Are awarded for significant sporting achievement. 

Those who are not University of Adelaide students, but are Adelaide University Sport club members, are able to be nominated for these two awards.

Intervarsity Certificate of Merit: 

Awarded to recognise the contribution and performance of University of Adelaide students, who represent the university in Intervarsity competition but are not a member of one of the affiliated Adelaide University Sport clubs.
