PANELLIST - CHELSEA RANDALL
A star of the competition, Chelsea Randall guided the Crows to the inaugural AFLW Premiership and earned All Australian selection in 2017. In 2018, she picked up a string of awards, including the Crows Club Champion and captaincy of the All-Australian side. Randall became a three-time All-Australian in 2019 as she co-captained the Crows to their second Premiership. She missed the 2020 campaign after tearing her ACL in the first pre-season training and instead took on an assistant coaching role. Randall returned from the injury in 2021 and became sole captain of the side, guiding Adelaide to its third premiership in Season Six. Randall missed the 2020 campaign after tearing her ACL in the first pre-season training and instead took on an assistant coaching role. Randall returned from the injury in 2021 and became sole captain of the side after Erin Phillips stood down.
PANELLIST - MARNEE SILVER
With 12+ years of AFL experience, including as Senior Coach of the West Brunswick W team and now as an Under 16s Assistant Coach in the Coates Talent League, they know what it takes to build inclusive, welcoming sporting environments from grassroots to elite levels. Currently working with Pride Cup, as a Coach Developer for AFL VIC, and supporting programs for women and gender-diverse people connected with the criminal justice system, Marnee is passionate about amplifying diverse voices and driving change through sport.
Pride Cup is changing culture through sport, making LGBTIQ+ people feel safe, welcome and accepted. Shockingly, 80% of Australians have witnessed or experienced homophobia in sport. Pride Cup partners with clubs and leagues at all levels to tackle this, delivering LGBTIQ+ inclusion education and iconic rainbow-themed game day activations that bring communities together. And it works. Monash University found clubs that have hosted a Pride Cup show 40–50% less homophobic behaviour than those that haven’t. Sport shapes culture. When you change sport, you change entire communities. Register your PrideGame and get your FREE education session, or learn more at www.pridecup.org.au.
PANELLIST - María José “Cote” Rojas
María José “Cote” Rojas (she/her) is a pioneer of Chilean women’s football, and a symbol of perseverance. Born in Santiago, she was the first Chilean woman to sign a professional contract abroad, and the first to play in the A-League Women. She has won titles across four countries - including the Premiership with Sydney FC in 2022 - and represented Chile at the highest level at Copa América tournaments, Pan American Games, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Since landing in Australia, Rojas has met her Adelaide-born fiancé, received the Distinguished Talent Visa, and in 2025 obtained her citizenship - cementing her deep connection to the country. She founded Supersede Athlete Performance, an academy in Australia that empowers young footballers through technical, physical, and mental training programs. Cote Rojas has opened doors, broken barriers, and helped form new generations, while staying true to her roots.
PANELLIST - OWEN BRIGSTOCK-BARRON
Owen Brigstock-Barron is the Director of Global Sports Health Initiatives at Movember. With over 20 years of experience in public health and policy he has led transformational, evidence-based initiatives that empower diverse communities through sport and health programs. With an educational background in Medical Anthropology and Public Health, Owen is committed to harnessing the power of community sport to drive social change and promote health equity. When he isn’t immersed in all things health, Owen rides the emotional roller-coaster of his beloved hometown football team (Bradford City), plots his next overseas adventure, gets generally excited about Eurovision, or chases his two Italian Greyhounds around Victoria Park Oval in Melbourne.
