Life Members
The Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Life Membership remains our highest level of recognition.
The first Life Membership was presented to R W Bennett in 1907, and there are currently 37 Life Members.
The Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Board may nominate honorary Life Membership to an individual who has demonstrated long and single service to Adelaide University Sport and Fitness.

Service to ADELAIDE UNIVERSITY Sport and Fitness
The Service to Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Award recognises those individuals who have given an outstanding and highly commendable contribution to Adelaide University Sport and Fitness or to sport at Adelaide University, of at least 10 years duration for association-based service or 15 years for club-based service. It is regarded as a higher award than Club Letters in club-based service.

PROCESS
Honorary Life Membership of Adelaide University Sport and Fitness is able to be conferred upon any person who, in the opinion of the Council following consideration of a recommendation from the Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Board, has rendered long and single service to the Association.
Categories
The following categories should assist an affiliated club and/or the board when considering a nominee for a Service to Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Award.
Players/coaches/officials/volunteers:
Exceptional service record as either a player, coach, match official or volunteer at affiliated club level or at national/regional games representing Adelaide University.
Administrators:

Member of Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Board of Management.

Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Council delegate.

South Australian representative of AUS national board.

Adelaide University Sport and Fitness Committee member, e.g. Blues, West Best Hockey Centre, Users Group Committee, etc.

Adelaide University Sport and Fitness staff members.

Representatives from Adelaide University.
Special:
Our Board of Management may nominate one person per year (who is not included in one of the above categories) for special services to Sport at Adelaide University.
