Adelaide University Sport and Fitness, in partnership with Karate Australia and Guardian Girls Karate, is running a free four-week Guardian Girls Karate course for female students at Adelaide University.
The Guardian Girls Karate Program teaches simple, effective ways for women and girls to feel safer and more confident, combating gender-based violence through practical safety skills and building awareness. The program seeks to help women become empowered, learn proactive pathways to safety, and build mental resilience to not freeze in dangerous situations, but to react.
The course is run across four weeks, with registered participants attending the entire program.
- Friday 16, 23 & 30 October and 6 November from 10:00am to 12:00pm
- George Murray Room, City East Campus
Further information will be provided to registered participants closer to the program commencing.
