AU Wing Chun Kung Fu Club to host 2025 AWCF Conference in Adelaide

Published Thu 07 Aug 2025

The Australian Wing Chun Federation (AWCF) Conference is making its highly anticipated return to Adelaide this October, bringing together martial artists from across the country for four days of immersive training, collaboration, and celebration of Wing Chun’s enduring legacy.

Hosted by the Adelaide University Wing Chun Kung Fu Club, the 2025 AWCF Conference will run from October 3–6, transforming the city into a national hub for Wing Chun practitioners, coaches, and enthusiasts. The event promises to honour the art's rich traditions while pushing forward its evolution in Australia.

Attendees can expect a packed program of Wing Chun workshops, including hands-on training sessions, Chi Sau practice, and engaging talks led by respected instructors from around the nation. The conference will also offer a sports workshop and tournament, now in its second edition, featuring a modified Sanshou-inspired ruleset that prioritises safety and inclusivity - making space for both striking and non-striking martial arts disciplines. Workshops in officiating and coaching will provide additional learning pathways for those looking to contribute beyond the mat.

More than just physical training, the conference highlights community connection, with opportunities to meet like-minded practitioners, contribute to national discussions at the AWCF Annual General Meeting, and celebrate the strength of Wing Chun in Australia. High-level grading exams and coaching development opportunities will also be available, offering a platform for progression and recognition within the AWCF system.

Tickets are now available at $299 for the full three-day event, or $125 for single days (plus booking fees). Full ticket holders will enjoy a comprehensive experience, including all daytime and evening events, catered meals, a commemorative t-shirt, and competition entry.

Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a curious newcomer, the 2025 AWCF Conference is shaping up to be a landmark event in the Australian martial arts calendar. Stay tuned and prepare to be inspired.
