Anja Felderhof is the recipient of the Adelaide University Sport and Fitness, People’s Choice Credit Union Women In Sport Scholarship for 2025!

Anja is a rising talent in Australian rowing and a dedicated student at the University of Adelaide, where she is studying a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. A member of the Adelaide University Boat Club (AUBC) for just two seasons, she has already been elected Captain of Boats and plays a key role in shaping the club’s inclusive and competitive culture.

Her rowing career began at Seymour College in 2021, where she co-captained the First Eight and helped lead the crew to victory at the 2023 SA Schoolgirl Head of the River. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength - now competing at the Under 21 level at club, state, and national events.

This year, Anja represented AUBC and South Australia at the Australian Rowing National Championship Regatta in Tasmania, competing in the Women’s U21 Quadruple Scull, Double Scull, Single Scull, and the Bicentennial Cup (Youth Eight).

Beyond competition, Anja is an active volunteer and board member, mentoring younger athletes and contributing to club operations, all while balancing the demands of elite sport and high-level study.

When asked what this scholarship means, Anja shared:

"This scholarship will support me as I represent both AUBC and South Australia on the national stage. It allows me to continue training and competing at the highest level, while also giving back to the club and community that has helped shape me as both an athlete and a leader."

Victoria Cholsh is the recipient of the Adelaide University Sport and Fitness, People’s Choice Credit Union Women In Sport Scholarship for 2025!

Victoria has been passionate about athletics since 2017, specialising in the 800m and 1500m events. She thrives on the challenge of middle-distance racing and takes great pride in representing the University of Adelaide at the UniSport Nationals, where she ran one of her best races in 2024, winning the 1500m.

Currently studying a Bachelor of Science (High Performance Computational Physics) (Honours), Victoria balances her academic and athletic commitments with discipline and determination. She’s an active member of the AU Sport Athletics club and regularly supports team events and fellow athletes.

In addition to her personal goals, Victoria hopes to one day compete for Australia and inspire other female athletes to pursue both sport and study.

When asked what this scholarship means to her, Victoria said:

"I am extremely grateful to receive this scholarship that will help support me in training and racing interstate. It will further support me to continue working hard to be an athlete and student- both of which I am proud to be at the University of Adelaide.”

Alice Sabine is the recipient of the Adelaide University Sport and Fitness, People’s Choice Credit Union Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Sports Scholarship for 2025!

Currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine at the University of Adelaide, Alice is a standout example of a student-athlete committed to both academic excellence and sporting success. Alongside her demanding medical studies, Alice competes at an elite level as a member of the AU Waatu UBL team, the Norwood Flames NBL1 team, and as an amateur long-distance runner.

Her ability to manage these commitments reflects not only her resilience and time management but also her leadership, teamwork, and dedication to both her sport and the Elite Athlete Club.

When asked what this scholarship means to her, Alice shared:

"Receiving this scholarship provides crucial support in managing my academic responsibilities while allowing me to pursue my sporting goals at a higher level. It enables me to proudly represent AU Sport in both UBL and University Nationals, contribute to the club’s success, and grow as a leader within the sporting community."
