Swanbury Penglase Appointed as Architects for the Waite Redevelopment Project
Published Wed 04 Jun 2025
Following a competitive tender process, we are excited to announce that Swanbury Penglase has been appointed to lead the next stage of the Waite Redevelopment Project.
Swanbury Penglase brings a wealth of experience and a strong track record in delivering community, civic, and recreation facilities. Their recent projects include the refurbishment of the Park 12 Grandstand and the University of Adelaide’s Fitness Hub, demonstrating their capability in delivering flexible, inclusive, and high-quality spaces. They have developed long-standing relationships with the University of Adelaide through a range of successful projects. This experience ensures they are well-versed in the University’s systems and processes and understand the importance of meaningful engagement with stakeholders — including user groups, consultants and contractors.
Their approach is underpinned by collaboration, with an emphasis on workshopping and one-on-one engagement to ensure designs meet the needs of diverse communities. Their expertise in supporting the evolving requirements of women’s sport, universal access and non-gender-specific facilities makes them a great fit for this project.
We look forward to working with the Swanbury Penglase team and the Waite User Group as we move forward in shaping the future of the Waite campus and our sporting clubs.
