University of Adelaide Go Big at UniNationals 2025

It was an outstanding week on the Gold Coast as the University of Adelaide athletes wrapped up an incredible campaign at the 2025 UniSport Nationals, held from 27 September – 3 October. More than 110 University of Adelaide students competed across 10 sports. The event proved to be a successful campaign, with athletes taking home a total of 18 medals across four sports – judo, fencing, rowing, and volleyball.

The results reflect the exceptional standard of competition, with the University of Adelaide’s athletes excelling across both team and individual events. Standout performances came from Valen Kostich, who captured gold in the men’s judo 90kg division, and Hailey Hoo, who topped the podium in the novice women’s foil, leading a UoA clean sweep of that event.
The rowing squad once again delivered a powerhouse performance, securing 11 medals. Meanwhile, the men’s volleyball team fought their way to a hard-earned silver medal in Division 2, capping off a strong campaign.
As the 2025 UniNationals come to a close, the University of Adelaide celebrates not only its medal haul but also the unity, effort, and sportsmanship displayed by every athlete who represented the university and played for fun and with pride.
