There is currently a bug with survey forms which limits longer text fields to 255 characters.
It is recommended that longer submissions use the "Additional Documents" fields to upload PDFs of these responses for the time being, or that nominations be done via the downloadable form.
The 2026 "Coach of the Year" Award recognises a coach, who has made a significant coaching contribution in the previous calendar year.
The Coach of the Year Award is seperated into elite and development categories, and is open to coaches who are either paid, receive an honorarium or volunteer.
An elite coach is defined as an individual who coaches at the highest grade of the eligible competition for the relevant sport.
CRITERIA FOR THE AWARD
- Nominated coaches must be a registered AUSF member.
- Coach achievements must have occurred in the previous calendar year.
- Letter of support from the relevant club must be submitted with the application.
- Nominations must be received by 11.59pm Sunday 4 October 2026.
- Any coaches that have been reported for acting in an unsporting manner will be ineligible for the Coach of the Year Award.

- Received by AUSF within the application period, by the closing date/time - 11.59pm Monday 6 October 2025.
- Submitted with all support documentation required.
