We are looking at holding the four-week course early on Friday afternoons. Once details have been finalised, we will email you to ask for registrations.
Adelaide University Sport and Fitness, in partnership with Karate Australia and Guardian Girls Karate, will be running a free four-week Guardian Girls Karate course for female students at Adelaide University, as well as a 90-minute taster session.
The Guardian Girls Karate Program teaches simple, effective ways for women and girls to feel safer and more confident, combating gender-based violence through practical safety skills and building awareness. The program seeks to help women become empowered, learn proactive pathways to safety, and build mental resilience to not freeze in dangerous situations, but to react.
“We help build awareness, and practical safety skills that can help women and girls defend themselves or escape from a life-threatening situation.”
