Coach of the Year

Sports coaches can have a great influence in assisting athletes to develop their full potential and can impact the culture of a club. They analyse athlete performances, give skills training and provide encouragement and set the expectations of behaviour. We recognise our highly skilled coaches in several ways, including the Coach of the Year Award.

Volunteer of the Year

Adelaide University Sport and affiliated clubs would not be the organisations they are today without the assistance and valued contribution of our volunteers. We recognise these very important people in our sporting community in several ways, including the Volunteer of the Year Award.

Coach of the Year

Our "Coach of the Year" awards are separated into elite and development categories, and are open to coaches who are either paid, receive an honorarium or volunteer. A salaried coach is not eligible. An elite coach is defined as a coach who has responsibility for the “A Grade team”.  A long-term coach can also receive a ‘Service to University Sport’ award, however the Coaches award is to recognise a significant contribution during the year of the award.

Nominations may be submitted by clubs, individuals from clubs or Adelaide University staff. The Adelaide University Sport Board will make the final decision on the award winners.

Volunteer of the Year

The "Volunteer of the Year" Award recognise volunteers who have made a significant contribution to a club, team or our organisation during the year, rather than over an extended period. Nominations may be submitted by clubs, individuals from clubs or Adelaide University Sport and Fitness staff. The board will make the final decision on the award winners.
