Financial Grants:
Club financial management is not just the responsibility of the treasurer of the club, but the full committee. The starting point is having a sound policy which outlines how the club will manage its finances and what controls will be in place.
All clubs must ensure there are good financial management practices in place so the club can:
-
Achieve its objectives
-
Retain sufficient funds to cover scheduled bills
-
Fund all its programs and activities
-
Meet all other contractual obligations (e.g. University Rules, Associations Act, Corporations Law)
Although the financial management of the club is the responsibility of the full committee, the appointment of a skilled treasurer is the key to a club's successful financial management.
At Adelaide University Sport we provide grants and funding throughout the year to affiliated clubs to assist in achieving their goals. The grant program is divided into two streams; club and individual.
