The "Patron's Cup" is awarded to a club which had an outstanding achievement in the past 12 months.
It is presented in recognition of Professor McWha's support of Adelaide University Sport during his 10-year tenure as Vice-Chancellor.
This award does not have to be awarded annually; it is dependent on the standard of applications.
